QHSE Co-ordinator

The BDR Group of Companies is looking for a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) qualified Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Co-Ordinator.

Reporting to one of our Group Directors, we are looking for an individual who can provide guidance, advice and drive a positive culture in H&S across the company within the Facilities management environment covering Hard FM maintenance & installation works within various clients and environments such as NHS acute hospitals and mental health facilities as well as general commercial sites covering varied disciplines of work.

The role requires an ability to build strong relationships and work closely with our engineering teams and managers & represent at the company level to all clients at varying levels of interaction.

The main responsibilities as QHSE Co-ordinator will include:

  • Implement the company’s health and safety policies and systems
  • Produce and review method statements

·       Review risk assessments and construction plans

·       Manage and maintain the company training database, including matrices for engineers and sub-contractors

  • Deliver toolbox talks and refresher training to engineers
  • Plan and oversee safety at work for all employees ensuring a safe working environment

The successful applicant will be based at BDR Group’s office in Stratford upon Avon. Administrative tasks, troubleshooting, telephone-based training, remote equipment configuration and support can be carried out from the office however you will be required to travel throughout the United Kingdom to survey, install, train and where necessary troubleshoot and repair equipment.

You will be expected to work closely with customers, other engineers, and project managers. You must be accustomed to working with Avaya systems and software and be experienced in connecting systems with analogue, ISDN and SIP trunks and using Voice Networking.

Ability to work with voice cabling and install Cat5 structured cabling and a good knowledge of general telecoms peripherals (fax machines, PDQ machines, alarm systems, SIP ATAs, bells and tannoy systems) is also vital.

Out of hours and occasional weekend work may be required and the ability to multitask is essential as you will need to work on several jobs and projects concurrently. Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and conduct consultative sales calls to targeted customers.

  • Establish and grow relationships with key decision-makers and influencers

  • Travel to customer locations in support of the sales process as necessary.
